The grandmother of the toddler who died Wednesday afternoon after being run over by an SUV, has been charged in connection with the incident.
Investigators said 52-year-old Rebecca Jane Elrod of Mt. Olive Road in Albertville, was driving the Ford Explorer when she ran over 2-year-old Brayden Lucas Daniel at 3:29 p.m. on Diane Avenue. Elrod was under the influence of prescription medication at the time of the accident, according to investigators.
